August 31 2023 – That's Amore Cheese
We had a wonderful night of celebrations for our 15 years anniversary on 3 & 4 August 2023 at Hospitium in Collingwood.
Our night began with espresso martinis and Prosecco on arrival, courtesy of St Remio Coffee and our wine sponsor, Vinea Marson, who supplied all our wine for the event. Guests were immersed in the full That's Amore experience as they entered the venue by Italian musical classics, thanks to the Bella Ciao band.
The antipasto was created by our Cheesery head chef Carlos Naspiran Ortiz: Burrata with roasted beetroot, green apple & beetroot relish, herb oil. This creamy delight was paired with Vinea Marson's Prosecco.
This was followed by a timeless Italian-style primo created by Guy Grossi: Tortelli maremmani with buffalo ricotta, brown butter & sage served alongside Vinea Marson's Grazia.
Adam D’Sylva then took us through a full flavoured banquet-style main course all wonderfully paired with a full-bodied Nebbiolo:
Roast duck with eggplant, fragrant herbs & diavoletti
Cacio e pepe baked barramundi with Nonna's herbs, leek & finger lime
Cosberg caesar salad
We then finished on a sweet note with a delicious dessert creation by Darren Purchese: Buffalo milk panna cotta with citrus, curds & whey paired with a delicate Picolit wine.
Of course, the night was not complete without a cheese plate! Guests were served a variety of cheeses: Stella Alpina, Drunken Buffalo, Isolation Blue & Panettone Tartufo.
We could not have asked for a better celebration of this milestone - thank you!
