Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside—these Double Crumbed Fried Bocconcini Balls are a true treat for cheese lovers! With an extra-crunchy coating and gooey bocconcini centre, they’re perfect as an appetiser, party snack, or indulgent bite any time of day. Get ready for cheesy bliss in every bite!
Step 1
Place the flour in one bowl.
Step 2
Place egg and water mixture into a separate bowl.
Step 3
Place panko breadcrumbs into a third bowl and mix in black and white sesame seeds and salt.
Step 4
Coat each bocconcini in flour and shake off excess.
Step 5
Then coat with egg followed by the sesame and breadcrumbs mixture. Place on a tray.
Step 6
Repeat until all bocconcini are coated.
Step 7
Fill a saucepan with oil (enough to deep fry) and heat to 170 degrees.
Step 8
In batches, deep-fry the coated bocconcini for 1 minute or until golden. Remove fried bocconcini and place on a tray lined with paper towel.
Step 9
Once all coated bocconcini are fried place on a plate and serve with sweet chilli sauce.
